Arc Welding
The Arc Welding technique is one of the first welding procedures that are taught at any welding school. It is also one of the oldest. The process is still in use and is quite popular for welding heavy gauge metals. The process is easier than the MIG and TIG welding. However, the weld quality depends on the electrodes that you choose for the job. The arc welding process is rather simple, but you need to have a steady hand to ensure quality finish and strength in the welds.
Arc welding requires you to clean up once the welding is completed. This is because the electrodes are coated in flux to prevent the metal from being contaminated. The flux residue that is left behind requires cleaning.
